ISSG Privacy Day 2012

Thursday 22nd March 2012.  To be held at the BCS London Offices.

The privacy day is now a regular fixture in the ISSG's annual programme of events.  Led by Ian Fish, ISSG Committee Member and member of the BCS Information Privacy Expert Panel, this meeting will once again bring you an interesting mix of factual briefings and potentially controversial personal opinion.

The keynote presentation will be given by Prof Jim Norton, immediate Past President of the BCS/CIfIT.  There will be an update on the EnCoRe project that has been outlined at the previous Privacy Day and news about two other important projects, one about how the public will react to new technologies with ID management and the other relating to privacy in The Cloud.  There will also be a case study from the corporate sector.

Further details and a booking form are available on our next event page.

Our sister Specialist Group, BCS IRMA (Information Risk Management and Assurance) sometimes organises events that have a significant Information Security content or relevance.  Details of their events, once published, are listed on the IRMA forthcoming events web page.

There is typically one evening presentation each month at the BCS London offices, free of charge to attendees.

The February event is "Regulatory Implications for IT", to be held at 1800 on Tuesday 14th February 2012, at the BCS London Offices. Further details on the IRMA event web page.
